Pa’lante y Pa’tras, 2021

Pa’lante is a saying I was told throughout my life that means to keep pushing forward and persevering when times are tough. Pa’tras is a saying I coined while making this piece that encapsulates the habit of dwelling on the past and reminiscing old memories. I am constantly balancing the two. This piece explores the desire to move forward but being stuck in the past.
